Authorised agents

Acting for sellers

An authorised agent prepares and manages listings for asset owners who would rather not run the sale themselves. This is common when a receiver, a lender or a company sells assets outside its ordinary business.

What an agent can do

  • Create and prepare listings for assets assigned to them, including documents and specifications.
  • Submit listings for verification and approval.
  • Compose auctions over approved listings and set their commercial terms.
  • Follow bidding activity and see transactions on the lots they handle.

What an agent cannot do

  • Approve their own listings. Verification and approval are performed by DeltaGuard, never by the party who prepared the lot.
  • See a reserve price they were not given, or any figure belonging to the other side of a transaction.
  • Bid on a lot they are acting on.
  • Intervene in a running auction. Pausing, extending, cancelling and voiding are auctioneer and administrator functions.

Commission

An agent’s commission rate is agreed with DeltaGuard and recorded against each sale they handle, alongside DeltaGuard’s own fees, so you can always see the rate that applied to a past sale.

Becoming an agent

DeltaGuard grants agent status; it cannot be chosen at registration. Create an account and complete identity verification first, then contact us and we will add agent status to that account.
